Graduate Program Admissions

Admission to the Graduate Program for Psychology is very competitive, with many students competing to get into the program. Normally, we only have a few seats for prospective graduates, so we select students with the strongest qualifications.

Minimum Admission Requirements - Undergraduate Work

  • Minimum GPA 2.8 overall,
  • 3.0 GPA in psychology courses.
  • 18 hours of undergraduate psychology courses, including research methods.
  • An undergraduate course in statistics.

 Graduate Record Exam

  • Average score of students admitted is over 1100, considering the addition of their Verbal and Quantitative Test Scores
  • Normal accepted minimum for Verbal + Quantitative Tests = 1000

Application deadlines

  • M.A. in Clinical/Community Program - March 1st
  • M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Program - January 15
  • Ph.D. in Health Psychology - December 1st.

Late admit deadline is May 1st. Please note: there are seldom positions available for students who submit late admit applications.

Students are admitted only for Fall semester.
